Hola Peoples: Goings On and PICTURES!

Hi there, everyone!

I hope you guys are doing well. Me… I’m good. Somewhat busy in-world. Just wrapped up some shooting I did for a good friend of mine for another 48-Hour Film Project, the short film, The Gox Belt. It wasn’t much work, for me that is, as I loved doing it, but it got me back behind the camera, and I loved it!

Right now, I’m in the middle of rehearsals for Unity Productions’ next major performance, the story of Esther. I get to be Esther, so that’s pretty cool. 🙂 Even cooler because I get to wear a crown. LOL

When I’m not rehearsing and I’m in-world, I’m with my bae watching movies, watching her work, doing a bit of shopping, and acting up.

I’m really posting now because I want to post up some pics. LOL We rehearse for UP on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and so I never change clothes on those days. LOL Doesn’t make sense to spend the time to get all cute only to have to change clothes. But come Thursday, I’m ripping that costume off and finding something cute to put on. Found a couple of my older things in the closet and put them together for a cute ensemble. Then I shot a few pics in front of CProd and then I went off to Yogyakarta, Indonesia and took some pics in that beautiful place. At Yogyakarta, Indonesia, there are the most famous archaeological sites named BOROBUDUR & PRAMBANAN, the largest Temples in the world built in the ninth century, and there are beautiful nature scenes, parks, gardens, rivers, beaches, and underwater locales. You should check it out, 😀

AND NOW… drum roll… THE PICS!

Here’s a rundown of the wares and incidentals from the pics…

What’s Going On, You Guys?

Well, well, well, look who came home. LOL

Yeah, after a billion years, I’m making a presence on my blog.

First life totally jacked me up and took me hostage. Been working on dissertation, been editing clients’ projects, been trying to work on my own writing, and have been busy trying not to go crazy.

I have been in SL, however–loving on my beautiful and talented wifey, working with Unity Productions as we wrapped up performances of The Misfits. We’re about to start work on our next production, the story of Esther. I’m excited about it. Will tell more once I know more.

In addition, I’m slowly getting back into my SL writing with The SL Enquirer. I have two pieces upcoming: an interview with an SL resident about their experience(s) in-world, and an interview with Joshuan Banx, who is putting together the Homeless Awareness Hunt that kicks off next month.

I just published on SLE a press release for my better-half, Earth Nirvana-Charisma’s upcoming hunt, The Best Foot Forward Hunt. Definitely check it out. If you are a vendor, consider participating. If you’re a hunter, be ready to hunt, hunt, hunt!

I plan to come back sooner (than later) and put up posts to let you know what’s going on in my neck of the sluniverse, and to show you some PICS! Y’all know I love pics! In fact, I had to leave you with one (or two). I actually dressed (been wearing the same ‘fit for over a week – LOL) for this pic…because of you…because I love y’all. LOL

Be good. Do good.

The dress [called Pocket Breeze] is by one of my fave designers, Caelia Bellic and her shop, Cae.B.

And a just because…

I’ve been nominated for something…

Never expected THAT to happen!

In real life, I’ve been very sick. As a result, I’ve been doing more taking meds and sleeping than being on SL.

I was very surprised to finally get to log on today and learn that I’ve been nominated for a DANCE QUEENS Dance Awards (The Cutie) for Best Script (for Shaken Into Peace) and SL Show of the Year (for Shaken Into Peace).

Was TOO stoked to learn this. Shaken into Peace was a definite labor of love, and it was created as much to fuel my heart with God as it was to help fuel others’ hearts with God. Glad I pushed myself away from my fear and finished this project!

The awards ceremony is at 6 am SLT, January 27, 2013, at LunaMar. I always chuckle when nominees say it was awesome just to be nominated, but I have to say it’s true. Just to be nominated, something I never considered happening, is a WOWING moment for me. It sparks me to want to continue doing good work.

The Things You Carried ~ Spoken Word Featured in Latest UP Production

Occasionally, I write poetry. Most of it is faith-based. When I was developing the production that would become Unity Productions’ latest performance, SHAKEN INTO PEACE, I was able to bring this poem from obscurity and literally speak it into existence with this audio track. It’s a piece that when I listen to it, I can hear and feel myself feeling the words There is definitely some meta-something going on for me when I listen to it. Please take a listen–let me know what you think.

Also, there are still five more opportunities to see SHAKEN INTO PEACE in Second Life:

Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. SLT
Sunday, October 7, 2012, at 4 p.m. SLT

Friday, October 12, 2012 at 6 p.m. SLT
Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 2 p.m. SLT
Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 4 p.m. SLT

All shows will go live at the Unity Productions’ stage.

Come to the performance and see this poem come to life under UP founder Pet Karu’s excellent choreography!

Hope to see you there! Now… The Things You Carried.
